WHERE DID THE WHITE MAN GO WRONG?

Indian Chief 'Two Eagles' was asked by a white government official,
"You have observed the white man for 90 years. You have seen his wars
and his technological advances. You have seen his progress, and the
damage he has done.
The Chief nodded in agreement.
The official continued, "Considering all these events, in your opinion,
where did the white man go wrong?"
The Chief stared at the government official for over a minute and then
calmly replied. "When white man find land, Indians running it; no
taxes, no debt, plenty Buffalo, plenty Beaver, clean water.
Women did all the work, Medicine Man free. Indian man spend all
day hunting and fishing: all night having sex."
The chief leaned back and smiled. "Only the white man dumb
enough to think he could improve system like that."

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside
people. He said,
'My son, the battle is between two 'wolves' inside us all.
One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment,
inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and
ego.
The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness,
benevolence,
empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.'
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather:
'Which wolf wins?'
The old Cherokee simply replied, 'The one you feed.'
